This is a License not a Certification. What does this mean?
-Upon completion of the 300-hour class and successfully passing TDLR State board Written & Practical examinations, you will become a Licensed Hair Weaving Specialist in Texas.
Students enrolled in a barbering/cosmetology school licensed in Texas will be issued a student permit while in training.
You must pass written and practical exams to obtain a Hair Weaving Specialist license.
After completing all education and training requirements, you will become eligible to take the written and practical exams. Once TDLR has verified your eligibility to take the exams, our third-party vendor (PSI), will send you an email confirmation with instructions for scheduling an appointment to take the exams.
TDLR Hair Weaving Specialist: Weaving a person’s hair by using any method to attach commercial hair to a person’s hair or scalp. 1603.0011(a)(9)
